A Texas bank customer has lost more than $50,000 after a Laredo employee allegedly made repeated debit card charges on the account.<\/p>\n

Laredo police say the former employee accessed the account without permission while working at a branch in the 1200 block of San Bernardo Avenue, reports<\/a> KGNS.<\/p>\n

Irma Yessenia Martinez, 25, is accused of the theft.<\/p>\n

Police say a Rio Grande Valley customer disputed multiple debit card transactions after noticing the withdrawals.<\/p>\n

Investigators say the activity stretched from September of 2025 into early 2026.<\/p>\n

Authorities arrested Martinez on September 1st and charged her with misapplication of fiduciary or financial property valued between $30,000 and $150,000, a third-degree felony.<\/p>\n

The bank is not named in the police account.<\/a><\/p>\n
