{"id":50758,"date":"2026-09-08T17:53:33","date_gmt":"2026-09-08T17:53:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptomag.finance\/?p=50758"},"modified":"2026-09-08T17:53:33","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T17:53:33","slug":"capital-b-buys-376-bitcoins-in-its-biggest-purchase-of-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptomag.finance\/?p=50758","title":{"rendered":"Capital B Buys 376 Bitcoins in Its Biggest Purchase of 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/\">Bitcoin Magazine<\/a><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Pics-10.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/capital-b-makes-biggest-2026-buy\">Capital B Buys 376 Bitcoins in Its Biggest Purchase of 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">European bitcoin treasury Capital B has <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/_ALCPB\/status\/2096842465315582259\">announced<\/a> a BTC buy, snapping up 376 coins \u2014 one week after it said Blockstream boss Adam Back was investing in the company.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Euronext Growth-listed company said Tuesday that it now owns 3,521 bitcoins \u2014 worth over $277 million at today\u2019s prices \u2014 making it the 25th biggest publicly traded bitcoin treasury in the world, <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcointreasuries.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to Bitcoin Treasuries data.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capital B\u2019s buy was for \u20ac25.3 million (over $29 million), according to its announcement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/1f7e0.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\udfe0\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/> Capital B confirms the acquisition of 376 BTC for \u20ac25.3 million, the holding of a total of 3,521 BTC, and a BTC Yield of 2.17% YTD <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/26a1.png\" alt=\"\u26a1\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Full Release (EN): <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/PQDwqfWX9a\">https:\/\/t.co\/PQDwqfWX9a<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Full Release (FR): <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SrVf8lvp8Q\">https:\/\/t.co\/SrVf8lvp8Q<\/a><\/p>\n<p>BTC Strategy (EN): <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/P5j3GA76kt\">https:\/\/t.co\/P5j3GA76kt<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Capital B (@_ALCPB) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/_ALCPB\/status\/2096842465315582259?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 7, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just last week, the company said that top bitcoiner Adam Back, who heads up bitcoin infrastructure company Blockstream, had invested \u20ac7.6 million ($8.8 million) in Capital B to help with its buys.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The firm in August said it had <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/_ALCPB\/status\/2093227948987834415\">raised<\/a> \u20ac21 million ($24 million) in a private placement backed by Back and asset manager TOBAM.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bitcoin treasury\u2019s stock was trading 2% lower on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capital B built most of its bitcoin position through fundraising rounds during the first half of 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May, it <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/capital-b-acquires-192-bitcoin-for-13\">snapped up<\/a> 192 coins for \u20ac13 million after completing three capital raises.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company, which calls itself \u201cEurope\u2019s first Bitcoin treasury company,\u201d is trying to build a bigger bitcoin position as other treasuries look to raise funds and accelerate their buys.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capital B says on its website that it wants to eventually hold 210,000 bitcoins. \u201cOur objective is simple: accumulate 1% of Bitcoin\u2019s total supply by 2033,\u201d it reads.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Digital asset treasuries became big in 2025 as more publicly traded companies tried to follow in the footsteps of Nasdaq-listed Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), which started buying bitcoin in 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hundreds of publicly traded companies started buying bitcoin \u2014 with many buying other cryptocurrencies \u2014 to boost their stock prices.
