Global central banks keep adding to their gold reserves for a fourth straight month.<\/p>\n

Institutions netted 23 tonnes in July after acquiring 51 tonnes the prior month, according to Kitco<\/a>, using data from central banks, the World Gold Council and the IMF.<\/p>\n

China purchased 20 tonnes to reach 60 tonnes for the year while Poland added 8 tonnes and lifted its 2026 total to 90 tonnes.<\/p>\n

Year-to-date central bank acquisitions stand at 130 tonnes, down slightly from 160 tonnes over the same stretch last year.<\/p>\n

World Gold Council data shows emerging market institutions have accelerated accumulation in recent quarters amid concerns over sanctions and currency stability.<\/p>\n

Central banks cite geopolitical risks and the need to diversify reserves away from traditional assets as key drivers behind sustained buying.<\/p>\n
