The coin also hasn\u2019t budged from where it stood seven days ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitcoin started a phenomenal run two weeks ago \u2014 its best in three years \u2014 and is up nearly 30% over the past month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Its price started surging after the U.S. Treasury would at least double the size of its liquidity-support buyback operations. The announcement hurt the dollar but non-yielding assets like bitcoin and gold have benefited.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Positive regulatory news has also helped bitcoin this month: President Donald Trump last week <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/trump-teases-bitcoin-buys\">said<\/a> that the long-awaited crypto <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/takes\/what-the-clarity-act-actually-does-for-bitcoin\">Clarity Act<\/a> was a \u201cvery, very powerful\u201d piece of legislation, and urged lawmakers to get it over the line.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Clarity Act aims to establish a framework for distinguishing between digital assets that are securities, commodities or payment stablecoins \u2014 legislation that the crypto industry has long called for.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Investors have piled back into exchange-traded funds this month, too, which has also helped bitcoin\u2019s price.
