And it&#8217;ll happen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think we need 25 years. I think it&#8217;s gonna happen much quicker.&#8221; <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/72x72\/1f680.png\" alt=\"\ud83d\ude80\" class=\"wp-smiley\" \/> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Qo4VRNoTso\">pic.twitter.com\/Qo4VRNoTso<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitcoin Magazine (@BitcoinMagazine) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BitcoinMagazine\/status\/2092881235542446546?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 27, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think for Bitcoin hitting a million dollars would be a good thing \u2014 it will happen,\u201d CZ said. \u201cYou think we need 25 years for that to happen? No, I actually don\u2019t think we need 25 years, I think it\u2019s going to happen much quicker.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CZ continued: \u201cBitcoin will, for sure, become more important than gold,\u201d adding that large counties would over the years realize that the leading cryptocurrency is a \u201cmuch better asset.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitcoin\u2019s price started surging last week on <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/bitcoin-blasts-past-68000\">news<\/a> that the U.S. Treasury would at least double the size of its liquidity-support buyback operations. The announcement last week hurt the dollar but non-yielding assets like Bitcoin and gold have benefited.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The price of Bitcoin has jumped nearly 12% over the past seven days, touching as high as $81,160 this week before dropping again to its <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/bitcoin-price\">current price<\/a> of $80,520.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"youtube-embed\" data-video_id=\"fBTjfHBAVBk\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bitcoin\u2019s $1.6 trillion market cap is still well below gold\u2019s $32.2 trillion value.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding nation state adoption, CZ said that countries that don\u2019t end up adopting Bitcoin will lose out \u2014 just like with other emerging technologies, such as AI.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf you think about AI, which country doesn\u2019t want to hold the AI technology itself? Not investing in AI technology, not promoting the AI industry in your country, is dangerous for you,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMany countries view Bitcoin as this dangerous thing \u2014 it\u2019s not.
