The personal and medical records of millions of Americans are at risk after a cyberattack hit an Ohio-based healthcare software and revenue cycle firm.<\/p>\n

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights says<\/a> Unlimited Technology Systems suffered a major Hacking\/IT incident that impacted 3,803,750 individuals.<\/p>\n

According to the firm, an unauthorized entity gained access to its network and stole<\/a> files that may have contained people\u2019s names, Social Security numbers, driver\u2019s license numbers, addresses, phone numbers, health insurance data and medical records.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn October 19, 2025, we discovered unauthorized activity within our commercial datacenter. Upon discovering the unauthorized activity, Unlimited hired a leading cybersecurity forensic firm to conduct an investigation, notified law enforcement, and conducted a review of the data involved. Through this investigation, we found evidence that an unauthorized actor obtained a copy of some of your personal information between October 5 and October 10, 2025.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The company highlights that the data involved in the incident does not include full patient medical records, medical imaging, or financial information,
\nsuch as credit card or bank account information.<\/p>\n

Unlimited Technology Systems says it abruptly notified affected individuals while offering two years of complimentary identity monitoring services through Kroll, including credit monitoring, fraud consultation and identity theft restoration.<\/p>\n
