{"id":49615,"date":"2026-08-14T07:04:36","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T07:04:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cryptomag.finance\/?p=49615"},"modified":"2026-08-14T07:04:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T07:04:36","slug":"tether-completes-largest-inaugural-financial-audit-in-history-conducted-by-big-four-accounting-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cryptomag.finance\/?p=49615","title":{"rendered":"Tether Completes Largest Inaugural Financial Audit in History Conducted by Big Four Accounting Firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/dailyhodl.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/usdt-slashes-paper.jpg?resize=1024,600\" class=\"webfeedsFeaturedVisual wp-post-image\" alt=\"Tether\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The issuer of the world\u2019s largest stablecoin is completing its first full independent financial statement audit, resulting in an unqualified clean opinion from a major firm.<\/p>\n<p>Tether <a href=\"https:\/\/tether.io\/news\/tether-completes-the-largest-inaugural-financial-audit-in-history\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a> the audit of Tether International, S.A. de C.V.\u2019s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, was conducted by KPMG U.S. and delivered the highest possible result under the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards.<\/p>\n<p>KPMG physically counted and inspected every individual gold bar held by the company while examining the full balance sheet, including reserves and liabilities, as well as the income statement, changes in equity, and cash flows.<\/p>\n<p>The audit complements existing quarterly reserve reporting and verified that reserves exceeded liabilities by $6.814 billion as of December 31, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Tether CEO, Paolo Ardoino, says,<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is a defining moment for the stablecoin industry.
