A West Virginia woman has been arrested on 127 counts of fraud after allegedly draining nearly $18,000 from a victim\u2019s bank account through unauthorized access.<\/p>\n

West Virginia State Police launched an investigation after the victim reported repeated unauthorized withdrawals totaling approximately $18,000 over several months, reports<\/a> WSAZ News.<\/p>\n

Detectives traced the activity to 37-year-old Ashley Newsome of Lenore.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s accused of obtaining the victim\u2019s bank card information and using it to make withdrawals through her personal Cash App account.<\/p>\n

olice secured arrest warrants for Newsome on 127 counts of fraudulent use of an access device, as well as charges of grand larceny and computer fraud.<\/p>\n

Newsome was arrested and arraigned in Mingo County Magistrate Court and was later released on bond.<\/p>\n
