XRP itself climbed 4% in 24 hours to almost $1.5, while Bitcoin traded at $81,450 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ethereum<\/a> sat at $2,287.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Wyk9Ej6kFXk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">price action<\/a> followed Thursday\u2019s markup vote on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grayscale.com\/the-stack\/the-clarity-act-where-are-we-now-and-where-do-we-go-next\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">CLARITY Act<\/a>, a proposed federal law that is driving fresh optimism across payment-focused cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>XRP was not alone. Stellar Lumens, Cardano, and Hedera all posted gains that outran Bitcoin on the day. Reports indicate these tokens share a common thread \u2014 all are built around payments, settlement, and tokenization.<\/p>\n<h2>What The CLARITY Act Would Do<\/h2>\n<p>The bill, if passed, would lock in a federal court ruling that XRP sales on secondary markets do not qualify as securities. That ruling had long been in legal limbo. Making it permanent federal law would remove a regulatory cloud that has followed XRP for years.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-896457\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/a_187d09.png?resize=1024%2C406\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"406\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The legislation also contains a provision \u2014 Section 401 \u2014 that would allow US banks to use digital assets for payments, custody, and settlement without needing prior regulatory approval.<\/p>\n<p>For Ripple, which operates the XRP network and issues the <a href=\"https:\/\/ripple.com\/solutions\/stablecoin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">RLUSD<\/a> dollar-backed stablecoin, that opens a direct path into the American banking system.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tradingview.com\/x\/EJgRkUTk\/\" width=\"1634\" height=\"951\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><br \/>\nA Broader Reset For Payment Chains<\/p>\n<p>Stellar Lumens, Cardano, and Hedera are catching the same wave. Based on reports, traders are treating all four as part of a single category \u2014 networks built for institutional payments \u2014 and pricing them accordingly. When the regulatory picture shifts for one, it shifts for all.<\/p>\n<p>Market Pricing In A New Era<\/p>\n<p>Data shows capital rotating into assets seen as ready for a regulated environment where banks can plug digital infrastructure directly into existing payment systems.<\/p>\n<p>The CLARITY Act has not passed yet, but the markup vote was enough to move markets.
