A JPMorgan Chase employee is facing accusations of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the bank\u2019s customers while working as an associate banker at the trillion-dollar lender.<\/p>\n

According<\/a> to the U.S. Treasury\u2019s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Shaira Ahmed embezzled $73,200 from the accounts of JPMorgan Chase customers while serving in her capacity as an associate banker at America\u2019s largest bank\u2019s Richmond Hill branch in New York.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy reason of the foregoing conduct, Respondent [Ahmed] engaged in violations of law, which resulted in financial gain to Respondent and loss or risk of loss to the Bank. Respondent\u2019s misconduct demonstrated personal dishonesty.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The OCC says Ahmed embezzled the funds over a roughly two-month period between January 15th of 2025 and March 22nd of 2025.<\/p>\n

According to the OCC, Ahmed altered JPMorgan Chase\u2019s records over the same period to hide the theft. Ahmed was JPMorgan Chase\u2019s associate banker at its Richmond Hill branch between July 8th of 2024 and May 2nd of 2025.<\/p>\n

Following the findings, the OCC is now banning Ahmed from participating either directly or indirectly in any manner in the conduct of the affairs of US banks and financial institutions indefinitely.<\/p>\n

The former JPMorgan Chase associate banker has consented to the OCC\u2019s prohibition order without admitting or denying any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n
