Crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen believes Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) will face another significant leg down.<\/p>\n

In a new video, Cowen challenges<\/a> the popular comparison between Bitcoin\u2019s current price action and its March recovery patterns, suggesting a more bearish parallel to 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou could argue that we\u2019re more like right here rather than in March\u2026 Bitcoin didn\u2019t go back up to the 21-week EMA\u2026 we just had another drop down.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

That historical analogy underpins Cowen\u2019s broader concern.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the next leg lower might be a lot sooner than a lot of people think.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Cowen also pushes back on the belief that the $60,000 level will act as firm support.<\/p>\n

While some traders point to the weekly RSI (Relative Strength Index), a momentum indicator that measures whether an asset is overbought or oversold as evidence a bottom may be near, Cowen argues that signal is incomplete.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt looks like it\u2019s near the lows in terms of the weekly RSI\u2026 but I can find an easy counter indicator to that\u2026 there\u2019s still a big drop here potentially.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

He also cites metrics like the MVRV Z-score \u2013 which measures how far Bitcoin\u2019s market value deviates from its realized (on-chain cost basis) value \u2013 and realized price levels, which represent the average price at which all coins last moved, noting these have not yet reached typical bear market bottom zones.<\/p>\n
