In his latest annual letter, Fink emphasizes long-term investing, broader market participation and the transformative potential of tokenization.<\/p>\n

He frames<\/a> today\u2019s economic environment as one defined by rapid change and uncertainty, with digital wallets and tokenized assets offering the potential for powerful change.<\/p>\n

\u201cHalf the world\u2019s population carries a digital wallet on their phone. Imagine if that same digital wallet could also let you invest in a broad mix of companies for the long term\u2014as easily as sending a payment. <\/em><\/p>\n

Tokenization could help accelerate that future by updating the plumbing of the financial system\u2014making investments easier to issue, easier to trade, and easier to access.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Fink positiones tokenization as a foundational shift in financial infrastructure, capable of lowering barriers to entry and improving efficiency across markets.<\/p>\n

He also underscores BlackRock\u2019s growing presence in digital assets and tokenizes products:<\/p>\n

\u201cBlackRock is also actively building in exciting newer technologies in financial markets, including digital assets and tokenized funds. Today, there\u2019s very little access to traditional investment products in digital wallets. We plan to lead the charge in changing that.<\/em><\/p>\n

BlackRock has already established early leadership in bringing institutional-quality products to the digital markets at scale, with nearly $150 billion in AUM connected to digital assets. Our tokenized treasury fund has grown into the largest tokenized fund in the world, and we manage $65 billion of stablecoin reserves, alongside nearly $80 billion of digital asset exchange-traded products (ETPs).43 We\u2019ve built all of these franchises in just the last few years, and we\u2019re studying opportunities to grow our position even further.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The letter ultimately frames tokenization not just as a technological innovation, but as a potential catalyst for democratizing investing\u2014bringing more individuals into the financial system and aligning their economic futures with broader market growth.<\/p>\n
