The price of Bitcoin pushed above $74,000 early Monday, as easing geopolitical tensions and improving risk sentiment helped lift the broader crypto market.<\/p>\n

The move capped one of bitcoin\u2019s strongest weekly performances since the outbreak<\/a> of the Iran\u2013Israel War in late February.<\/p>\n

The rally coincided with signs of de-escalation in the Middle East. Two commercial tankers transited<\/a> the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday for the first time since the conflict began, after Iran indicated its shipping restrictions would apply only to vessels linked to its adversaries.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Donald Trump said the United States was in talks with Tehran, helping calm energy markets. Oil prices retreated<\/a> from recent highs, the U.S. dollar weakened and equity futures turned positive, signaling a broader shift toward risk assets.<\/p>\n

The move higher also triggered a wave of short liquidations in crypto derivatives markets. Roughly $344 million in positions were wiped out over the past 24 hours, with bearish traders accounting for more than 80% of the total, according to Bitcoin Magazine Pro data.<\/p>\n

Market participants are now watching whether the bitcoin price can hold momentum above the $74,000 region. <\/p>\n

A sustained break could open the door to a move toward $80,000, a level that previously served as support late last year before prices slid during the early-2026 correction.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s coming next for the bitcoin price?\u00a0<\/h2>\n

For now, traders are also bracing for macro signals from the upcoming<\/a> policy meeting at the Federal Reserve, which begins Tuesday and could influence risk appetite across global markets.<\/p>\n

Later on Wednesday, the market will hear the Fed\u2019s interest-rate decision and Chair Jerome Powell\u2019s press conference, with rates expected to remain steady.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite being down from its October peak, Bitcoin price has outperformed<\/a> some traditional assets during the conflict, though volatility could increase depending on short-term selling and Fed signals.<\/p>\n

Earlier today, Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, bought<\/a> 22,337 more bitcoin for $1.57 billion, raising its total holdings to 761,068 BTC. The average acquisition bitcoin price cost is $75,696 per coin, giving the holdings a current market value of about $50 billion.<\/p>\n

Tokyo-listed investment firm\u00a0Metaplanet\u00a0said they also secured<\/a> approximately $255 million from global institutional investors as it accelerates a corporate strategy centered on accumulating Bitcoin. The company has additional warrants that could lift total funding to roughly $531 million for bitcoin purchases.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, the bitcoin price is near $73,800. <\/p>\n
