Delivery giant Grubhub is preparing to send millions of dollars in credit to customers to settle a lawsuit over the company\u2019s fees and prices.<\/p>\n

In a lawsuit filed in the Superior Court of the State of California, plaintiffs Charles Wang and others accuse<\/a> Grubhub of making\u00a0false or misleading representations over delivery fees, service fees and menu prices on its delivery orders.<\/p>\n

The alleged false or misleading representations over fees and prices happened between January 24th, 2019, and January 12th, 2026.<\/p>\n

Customers who ordered and paid for food via the Grubhub or Seamless app to a California address on those dates are class members.<\/p>\n

They can receive a $10.00 Grubhub site credit for use on the Grubhub app or website, distributing a total of up to $5 million in vouchers.<\/p>\n

Affected customers may submit a claim through this portal<\/a> on or before May 12th.<\/p>\n

A state court has authorized the notice for a settlement and granted<\/a> a preliminary approval order. A final approval hearing is slated for April 29th.<\/p>\n

Grubhub denies all claims and any wrongdoing or liability.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Court has not decided in favor of the Plaintiffs or Grubhub. Instead, both sides have agreed to the Settlement to avoid the costs and uncertainty of a trial; if the Settlement is approved by the Court, Settlement Class Members will receive the benefits described in this Notice. <\/em><\/p>\n

The proposed Settlement does not mean that any law was broken or that Grubhub did anything wrong\u2026 Plaintiffs and their lawyers think the proposed Settlement is best for everyone affected.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
