Solomon emphasized that the US banking system is distinct and must function alongside emerging technologies rather than be displaced by them. He also dismissed the notion that crypto can thrive in a \u201cregulatory vacuum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf there are people who think we are going to operate in this environment without rules, they are probably wrong, and they should move to El Salvador,\u201d Solomon remarked, underscoring his view that structure and oversight are non\u2011negotiable.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Solomon made clear that Goldman Sachs is paying attention to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/bitcoin-news\/top-expert-projects-bitcoin-bear-market-to-end-in-less-than-365-days\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">digital assets<\/a>. He described himself as \u201csuper\u2011interested in\u201d crypto\u2011related business and noted that the firm is active in areas such as digitization and tokenization.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe obviously are doing a bunch of things around digitization and tokenization,\u201d he said. \u201cWe touch all that stuff.\u201d Still, the bank\u2019s CEO cautioned that digital assets remain a relatively small slice of Goldman\u2019s overall operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Crypto Market Structure Bill To Be Signed By End Of April?<\/h2>\n<p>Solomon\u2019s comments came as debate intensifies in Washington over the fate of the anticipated crypto market structure bill, often referred to as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbtc.com\/breaking-news-ticker\/xrp-outlook-slashed-standard-chartered-lowers-forecast-from-8-to-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">CLARITY Act<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day, Senator Bernie Moreno acknowledged that he still has \u201csome concerns\u201d about the bill. Nevertheless, he expressed optimism that Congress could pass the measure \u201chopefully by April,\u201d clearing the way for President Donald Trump to sign it into law.<\/p>\n<p>Moreno also dismissed concerns that delays could jeopardize the bill if Democrats were to regain control of Congress in <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/crypto-and-the-2026-elections-by-the-numbers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">November\u2019s midterm elections<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With some Republicans worried about potentially losing at least the House, Moreno projected confidence. \u201cThe House isn\u2019t going to go Democrat, and neither is the Senate,\u201d he predicted.<\/p>\n<p>Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/ripple-ceo-80-chance-crypto-bill-signed-end-april\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">suggested <\/a>on Tuesday that once remaining disputes over stablecoin rewards between banking and crypto sectors are resolved, the CLARITY Act could move quickly toward passage.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>While acknowledging that the bill is not flawless, he maintained that no legislation ever is.
